Catherine Jeruto is a cybersecurity leader and mentor, acclaimed for her ability to create user-focused security awareness programs that help organizations worldwide turn technical risks into practical strategies. She blends academic knowledge with real-world experience to develop multilingual training, board-level cybersecurity frameworks, and risk-aware cultures, especially within financial and civil society sectors.

She has led large-scale security campaigns, reduced phishing risks via customized workshops, and directed vulnerability management teams to strengthen infrastructure. Recognized as one of the Top 100 Cybersecurity Women to Watch in Africa (2024), Catherine also leads a working group at the Kenya Cybersecurity and Forensics Association, mentors aspiring professionals, speaks at conferences, and fosters inclusive cybersecurity partnerships.

She currently holds the position of Co-Chair at the Institute of Risk Management (IRM) East Africa Group and serves as the Internal Audit Manager at Absa Life Assurance Kenya.

Catherine earned her MBA from Mancosa Honoris University in South Africa and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. She is a Graduate member of IRM (Grad-IRM), a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya, holds a certificate in Cybersecurity, and is a Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Certified Sustainability Professional.

Her career spans Financial Services, Manufacturing, Investments, and Humanitarian sectors across Africa and Europe. She also contributes as a board member in Kenya and the UK. Catherine is passionate about mentoring and involved with Global Give Back Circle, Youth Mentors, and VC & Start Up Shujaa.

She is co-author of "The Way She Leads", sharing leadership lessons on resilience and impact.
